Im having orthognathic surgery by the NHS,would it be possible to have rhinoplasty as well which is cosmetic?

We Answered:

Only if it's causing sever mental trauma and can't be treated any other way. I guess it'll be hard to persuade a professional over a time period that you're suicidal because you have a big conk, but that's the way to go

Can I get cosmetic surgery on the NHS?

We Answered:

The NHS will not pay for surgery for cosmetic reasons alone, but surgery to correct, or improve, congenital abnormalities will usually be carried out free of charge. You will normally need to be referred to a plastic surgeon by your GP and undergo an assessment by a psychiatrist, or psychologist. It will then be decided whether there is enough social, psychological, or physical benefit to be gained to justify surgery. The site below may be of interest to you.
