It has a lot to do with stereotypes. People not from SoCal assume everyone there has tons of money, not true. There are people from every income level almost everywhere.

I think as you go west the people are more laid back and take more time to enjoy themselves and life.

Personally, I was born in SoCal, moved to FL and now live in TX. I've traveled to almost every state. It could al h ave to do with how people are raised. If you don't get out and see things then you don't have much of an opinion, just influences from others.

In as far as someone in your area, look for someone who will take the time to discuss even the smallest details with you. If they are too busy to answer questions or give you adequate time when you meet, look elsewhere. Make sure that you can tour the operating facilities and that everything is clean and orderly. See if they have letters from satisfied patients (this is important. If someone takes the time to write, it is because someone has made a difference in/for them). Lastly, have real expectations. Do not use plastic surgery to fix a relationship, help in your job, etc. Also, do not belive that one procedure will make you look like a movie star if you don't already look like one. Be realistic in what you wish to gain from the surgery. Finally, if you have a specific area which you know that plastic surgery will help you improve, then don't let anyone talk you out of it.

It really is your decision. Just remember, if you make it that easy to change a feature you don't like, when will you draw the line? A lot of people that get plastic surgery get more later. When it affects the lip, it's called a cleft lip.

It looks like she's had work done on her lips, so maybe what you see is a scar from that.
