I think age has a whole lot to do with whether you will regret a tattoo or not. The younger you are the more likely you'll want it off at some point in time. Plus in many ways tattoos right now are a fad.

But to answer your question. I only know two people who have had a tattoo removed. One removed a homemade tattoo by herself. The other one's parents marched him to the dermatologist and had dermabrasion to remove it.
