Plastic Surgery Thailand

Lynn Said:

I would like to hear any comment from who had done plastic surgery in Thailand?

We Answered:

I have had friends and family go to two different hospitals Bumrungrad and Yanhee. Work done included a chin implant, eyelids, a liposuction and a vasectomy reversal. I was working in Iraq in 2004-6 and 2 of the people were my co-workers. Both of them was happy with the work done. I don't know if the vasectomy reversal worked, the guy was in his late fifties and he met a 32 year old from Chiang Rai but he seemed happy with the price ($2000 compared to $12,000 in the US). The woman who had lipo went to Bumrungrad and was Korean. She was attractive but had like straight waist and a flat butt. She came back and was very curvy. She had nothing but great things to say.
The eye and chin were done at Yanhee because my wife wanted the round eye (I didn't care). She was a little sore after but she thinks it was a major improvement. I think the eyes were $750 and the chin was $400. It would have been three times that in the states.

Both Hospital are modern, clean and comfortable. You get twice the service you'd get in the US for half the price. There are other hospitals that might be as good or better but these two I have some knowledge.

Anyone out there that has had plastic surgery in Thailand?

We Answered:

Just as full disclosure, I work at Bumrungrad International in Bangkok, Thailand.

Thailand has several choices for high quality plastic surgery.

As mentioned, we are among the ones quite popular with international and expat patients. Just looking at our plastic surgery list from February 1st - 5th, 2010 alone, we have had many patients from United States, France, Australia, Switzerland, UAE, along with several other countries.

If you would like to see see more about the facility, you can see detailed pictures at:

As well as from our website (www.bumrungrad.com). We have many testimonials there as well (which will be positive, admittedly).

Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.

What factors would influence you to choose Thailand for plastic surgery?

We Answered:

Thailand is famous for one SPECIFIC form of plastic surgery.
If you're in the market for that procedure, you'd be better speaking to people who've already had it there; there are a few here.

Lauren Said:

which hospital is good for plastic surgery in Thailand?

We Answered:

I would recommend Bumrungrad hospital. Liposuction would cost about 76000 baht which is about $2300. The hospital is top class... the building is very modern and they really take care of you there. The nurses are professional and caring and you will recieve great aftercare.

With any kind of cosmetic surgery you should find the right surgeon so go for a consultation which should cost about $20 and if you`re not quite happy with how the surgeon deals and talks to you then book an appointment with another surgeon until you find the right one.

You can probably find cheaper hospitals in Thailand but you shouldn`t go for somewhere because it`s cheap especially with something as important as surgery. I paid an extra 20000 baht to get the top surgeon at bumrungrad and he was excellent. I could really notice the difference with how proffesional he was compared to other surgeons I had consultations with.

Good luck with everything... hope the surgery goes well!
