Single girl in the big city.

I'd pick either Toronto or Vancouver. You'll have more opportunities for employment and dating in big cities. Good luck with your decision.

It would probably be economically smarter to move to the states. And warmer.

Puzzled pre-op transsexual?

We Answered:

You're scared you won't pass, because you think you're 'too ugly'?

Believe me, honey, we've ALL been there; almost every transwoman I know believed, before transition, that she could NEVER pass as a woman.
And we all had to learn the hard way, just as you will; no-one ever believes this until they DO it.....'passing' has much more to do with your mental attitude than your physical appearance. If YOU believe in yourself, so will everyone else. There are no short cuts; you just have to get out there and try.

Look at the other girls around you; do *they* obsess about whether or not they look like 'real' girls? Do *they* worry about getting their hair, make-up or clothes just-so? Most of the time, they don't; they're too busy living their lives.
I'm not saying that you don't have to care about your appearance, but every girl has some feature she's not happy about, every girl has a bad hair day, or makes an unwise choice in make-up; it happens. Let it; it's not a big issue, unless YOU make it so.

You're what - 17? that's the age when girls are allowed to make fashion mistakes; it's expected. People aren't surprised when teenagers look a little 'odd' (no offence to teenagers intended).
Give yourself a chance; learn how to do your make-up and hair so that you can do it without thinking about it, take an interest in the fashions that your peers are wearing (and NOT wearing), and see what happens.

And, something that a lot of people forget; hormone therapy makes a HUGE difference, but it happens so slowly and subtly that we don't notice it happening until after it has. Don't rush into facial surgery; if you wait long enough, you probably won't need it.

Vancouver seems like the best choice. The perfect city for single's.

Toronto is another good choice but it doesn't have the beauty that Vancouver does.

Mind you.. Both of these cities are incredibly expensive, especially Vancouver.

But if you can afford it, Vancouver is your city for a life of bliss. :)
