Upper Eyelid Surgery Cost

Jacob Said:

What is the cost of Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) Surgery ?

We Answered:

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost of Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery is "how much?" and “what is the price of surgery in India?”

Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeon on the basis of price.
The cost of Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery in India.

I checked out the website of Forerunners Healthcare –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 400 International patients from across the globe (specially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. And the general price of the Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery is as follows-

The Cost of Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery in India is $ 3,000.

In India, any licensed medical doctor can perform Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery. To avoid unsatisfactory results, it is best to choose a surgeon who has completed an accredited residency-training program in Forehead Lift & Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) surgery. He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when Forerunners Healthcare come into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.

Your surgeon's skill can make all the difference between a good and an average result. Thus, although it is understandable that price is one of the considerations in your choice of surgeon, it is important to remember that the main consideration should be your surgeon's professional qualifications and experience.

Besides that you should look into other issues related to traveling abroad, which is your visa, passport, climate, cultural issues and language barrier. Although language is not a problem in India –as most of the people are well verse in English. But you should make sure that you have a reliable hand holding person to guide you through the various steps of getting medical treatment and surgery in India.

Hope this helps.

I am considering eyelid surgery as I have extra skin above the eye.?

We Answered:

I have no idea what the prices are in Scotland. The recovery time shouldn't be too bad if you follow doctors orders. You'll probably be bruised for a while.
Always have it done by a real doctor who knows what he's doing. Happy healing. Check him out if you can.

Jennie Said:

Should I get plastic surgery to remove saggy upper eyelids?

We Answered:

I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and would agree with the above poster to have a visual field exam by an ophthalmologist. A lax upper lid can significantly interfere with your vision and insurance usually covers the repair. I cannot tell you how happy my patients are after having that skin removed and state how much more of the world they can see. The first week or so they resort to sunglasses not just because of the postoperative bruising, but because they are not used to so much light coming into their eyes. Some patients also need a brow lift to lift the skin and soft tissue from the more lateral portions of their orbits.

If you do not have a documented visual field defect, costs of the surgery vary widely depending on your location. I recommend having several consultations and checking on your plastic surgeons credentials not only at your state medical board website, but see if they are a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (www.surgery.org). There are many "facial plastic surgeons" and "oculoplastic surgeons" out there they are quite good, but many are really just ophthalmologists and ENT doctors who have decided to be cosmetic surgeons and have not had the training and testing necessary to call themselves a board certified plastic surgeon.

I hope this helps.

Mary Said:

how much is Blepharoplasty eye lid surgery?

We Answered:

The price varies depending on who does the operation. It won't be much cheaper to do only one eyelid. The main cost is the time/expertise of the surgeon, the anaesthesia and nursing staff and the use of the operating room and instruments. They might only agree to do both eyes, but to remove much more skin from the eye that needs doing most.
The best way to do it is to see more than one surgeon - don't necessarily choose the cheapest as you have to see the result every day. Good luck.
