It depends on where you are.

In the North West of the USA Gastric bypasses are running about $20,000.00. Lapbands are far cheaper at $12,000.00.

In Mexico you can get either proceedure at a fraction of the cost.

As far as which you should get, that's tough. I chose the gastric bypass becasue I have over 100lbs to lose. If it's not that bad then I would personally choose lapband. Something to talk to your surgeon about :)
